Too many of our black and brown people being killed,
blood being spilled for random reasons:
whistling at a white woman…
registering people to vote…
reaching for a driver’s license and registration papers in a compartment that happens to have a gun…
selling individual cigarettes…
selling CDs…
playing music in the van with friends…
walking downstairs because of a broken elevator…
wearing a hoodie, carrying Skittles and an iced tea…
not signalling a turn….
standing on a front porch…
standing on a motel balcony…
O God… how much longer do we have to deal with this!? How many more of us have to die before #BlackLives Matter!?
